Chris Barsanti is an author, critic, and editor.

He received his MSJ from Northwestern University. In addition to his career in publishing and consulting, he has worked as everything from barista and travel editor to background investigator and court reporter.

His most recent book is The Ballot Box: 10 Presidential Elections That Changed American History. He also contributed several entries to a forthcoming multi-volume encyclopedia of rock and roll.

Previous works include The Handy New York City Answer Book, The Sci-Fi Movie Guide, Filmology: A Movie-a-Day Guide to the Movies You Need to Know, and several iterations of the Eyes Wide Open annual film guide series. He co-wrote The Monty Python FAQ (with Jeff Massey and Brian Cogan) and contributed to St. Louis Noir and Punk Rock Warlord: The Life and Works of Joe Strummer.
