That Was the Year That Was:
The Best Films of 2010
Over at filmcritic.com, we all got together and came up with a list of the ten best films for the year 2010 – because making lists is what critics do in the holiday season when not arguing, say, whether Black Swan is high art with campy overtones or high camp with artistic window-dressing (hint: it’s the latter, which doesn’t detract at all from its enjoyability).
Here’s the group list from the filmcritic mob:
- Inception
- The Social Network
- Black Swan
- Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
- True Grit
- Toy Story 3
- 127 Hours
- Greenberg
- Please Give
- Shutter Island
And, for what it’s worth my individual list, with some links to reviews:
- Fish Tank
- Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
- The Social Network
- Never Let Me Go
- Last Train Home
- Boxing Gym
- White Material
- True Grit
- I Am Love
- Carlos
